Royal Wedding Cake

Made by a woman in Fleckney, the village down the road from home,
where Debbie & Holly live! Yay!
It looks too pretty to eat!
The best proof of love is trust.
You can’t control when you lose your heart. The only thing you can do is trust, trust that the person who has your heart realizes it’s value.

30th April, What a Good Day!

Today has been such a good day! Not only was Skipton lovely, but I found the complete set of Jane Austen books in a charity shop, with amazing cover art, then got them all for £8.50. YES!
And then I went in this little bag and accessories shop and saw the most gorgeous bag, and then Phoebe said that her and Matt owed me a birthday present, so they got it for me.
Following the trip to Skipton with dinner at 'The Fleece' in Otley, which was so good! It was Tapas, but Yorkshire style. So it was like mini fish and chips, and toad in the hole and stuff like that, SO yummy! Washed down with a couple of drinks, and my first Pimms of the year.
All in all, a bloody brilliant day!
Big house and gardens tomorrow, and games night at James and Lou's. Woop!
I'm sorry, I will shut up about the wedding eventually but three things I have to add to the loveliness of it:
That Harry said: "Wait till you see her." While Kate was coming up the aisle.
And that Will said: "You look beautiful." To her when she had arrived at the alter.
Then, while all the things were being read, that they were sat giving each other looks and little smiles. Just so adorable.
I'll let you know when I've thought of something else to going gooey over.

30 Day Movie Challenge: Day 8

Favourite Thriller - Signs

Friday, 29 April 2011

Oh and can I just say, watching the Royal Wedding while chatting to Debbie, just absolutely hilarious! Made it even better.

Up in Otley

Up in Leeds, staying in Otley this time, instead of James & Lou's house. Love Matt & Phoebe's little house, its my kind of house down to a tee. The little loft room I'm staying in, I can just see being a beautiful studio room, where I'd put all my art crap. Then there would still be a guest room as well. Its so lovely, a nice, little terrace house.
Going to Skipton tomorrow, should be a good day!
Beautiful Royal Wedding! Today is a good day to be proud of being British!
Now, I'm off to Leeds, to Otley!
I'm so happy. Its all been so lovely!

Royal Wedding

Its 8am, I haven't been up this early is ages. Camped out on sofa, waiting for things to sat off! I like that dad's not watching it... but he's got in on upstairs. Hahahaa!!
I think I have actually finished this project, just a few photos to print off at uni and shove in my sketchbook and its actually done!
Now all I need to do is write up my journal and do a final tweak to my found objects project and then I am done for year one. Which is a really scary feeling that a third of university life has passed me by already. Scary, scary times.

30 Day Movie Challenge: Day 7

Favourite Animated Feature - Toy Story Trio
I just adored these films, seriously.
I've just watched the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 trailer that got released today, and I literally cannot wait. It just looks stunning, and they've done the bit I really hoped they would. EEEEEEP!

30 Day Movie Challenge: Day 6

Favourite Horror - Paranormal Activity

Made my day!

Just wandering round the Oadby M&S food, glance up into someone's face, think... I recognise those eyebrows... Think for a second, and its only Toby Flood! Haaa! Its totally made my day. And surprisingly, Mum actually knew who he was when I went and told her. I've been smiling ever since.
Also, bought a Sandra Bullock DVD collection, and my 80s collection arrived in the post when I got home, result!
"I'm sure she gets more orange..."
"She does, every time."
Turns out, Mum actually hates spiders... well you learn something new every day!

Don't go breaking my heart,
Baby I couldn't if I tried!
Just singing.
In my imaginary house, the bedroom is the one room that constantly changes.

30 Day Movie Challenge: Day 5

Favourite Action - V for Vendetta
Wasn't sure if this was classed as an action film, but I googled it.
Really not loving this work bubble I'm in at the moment. It's all I spend my time thinking about... Nothing else passes through. Though I know when I haven't got any work, after a while I'll start getting bored of having no work to do. I can never win.
Here's something about me! I have a weird bit of skin on my neck, it kinda feels like slice in my neck? I think I got it when I was in a car that braked suddenly and the seatbelt went against my neck, as I must of been small.
Fascinating, I know.
Turns out now I can't sleep until 2am... Damn you strange holiday sleeping patterns!!

Tuesday, 26 April 2011

Work is coming together! Now I know my main idea will actually work, I feel like I've made some progress!
Could generally scream the house down with pure and utter annoyance at my work. Its all just gone wrong after I've just spent like 2 hours on it. DF;OIGHETS;OUIGH;IUAFHG;IUDFBI;VDF;IGUVDFS;IOUHG;FDUIHB;IJGDB;D!!!!!!

Dear Concentration...

CONCENTRATE!
I have no idea how I work on a single table in the studios... because right now the whole kitchen isn't big enough!

“Right guy, wrong time. Right time, wrong guy. New guy, old lines. Old guy, new lies.”

I just looked at the BBC book list, and I've only read 8 of them... I'm not very proud of this, so over the summer I think I'm gonna try and boost my amount, as some of them are just total classics. Many of them for me are seen the film... but not read the book.
Hmmm, played Splinter Cell a bit too long tonight... whoops! I'm so close to an achievement though. Turning into an achievement hunter, there is no hope!

30 Day Movie Challenge: Day 4

Favourite Drama - Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window
Just because it all happens in the smallest area, yet you're totally gripped.

Dance,
Dance,
Dance,
Till you're dead.
Me & Mum are having Buzz Fizz and Crumpets while we watch the Royal Wedding on Friday, classy!

Easter Goodies!

My little collection of choccie goodies from M&D, as I don't like having large amounts of chocolate. Yummm!
I'm welling up over this "Will & Kate: Love Story" programme. Its so adorable, and lovely. I cannot wait until friday to watch it, I'm just going to wallow in it wit Mum. We're actually not going to Leeds until afterwards hahahaaa!
Can someone just come here so I can have a cuddle and fall asleep please?
I do not understand why I am so so tired, its ridiculous.
10 pages/20 sides left to do. Plus resolve samples. And tweaks to the last project. Gulp.
Got the 80s playlist out again, hahaaa! Cannot wait for my 80s brat pack box set to arrive! Then I can order the other one... yippee!
Oh sewing machine, how much I love thee!
As an attempt to be one with the garden, I have pulled out my none existent gardening expertise and planted some sunflower seeds, and I'm hoping they will grow, or I'll just be sad.
Also, Dusty better not dig them up... He likes digging and eating plants this year it seems.

30 Day Movie Challenge: Day 3

Favourite Comedy - The Hangover.

United.

Just finished watching United, which was on BBC1 earlier. It was just stunning, and emotive. I generally can't describe it, so just take my word for it.

Sunday, 24 April 2011

I love marzipan SO much!
Just watching the recording of United... Looks like its going to be brilliant!
Drink of the summer I think, for me! Along with Pimms, obviously!
