Had a glorious day with Liz and Adam, doing British summer things like watching Wimbledon, drinking Pimms and making a Vicky sponge. Delicious!

Also, I applied for a job at Love Coffee in town, randomly. I'm going to write to stores, demanding jobs.

The Harry Potter Challenge: Day 3

Day 3: Which (if any) of the films annoyed you the most, because they missed important parts of the book?

Goblet of Fire is the film that disappointed me the most. I don't feel they did it justice at all. To people who didn't know the book, the parts at the end didn't have the explanations they needed.

Your Favourite of the 6 and a half movies so far?

My favourite... I think my favourite film is the Half-Blood Prince. Its the one I think I've watched the most, and always decide to put on. Its just got a good balance between the dark creeping over, and humourous moments between friends.

Oh.. And totally in love with this guy now.

Bridesmaids

Today, me & Kate did a full-on Orange Wednesdays, Pizza Express then Cinema! It was beautiful. We went to See Bridesmaids and it was absolutely brilliant! I haven't laughed like that in the cinema for a while. A lot of the communication between the two central characters it was just like... Oh God we do that.. Oh and that. And when they were dancing... Pretty much an image of our nights out hahaa! Though, I act like that with all my best friends, we just can't be normal, its just weird. Seriously excellent day, cheered me up loads.

This week has been so good!

Well firstly, I generally love them all. But I think the Goblet of Fire is my favourite. The way everything just comes together at the end, and when you think back through the book and you're just like oooh! Also its the book where the threat of Voldemort gets real. He was in books before... But to me was never as threatening, no one had gone missing or really died due to him before.

However, I do like Prisoner of Azakaban, due to the fact its not based around the Voldemort theme so much.

Engagement

Matthew, as in my brother, and his girlfriend Phoebe are engaged!! I'm really so happy for them, so happy I cried when I found out! I'm a romantic at heart you see! And I'll FINALLY get to go to a wedding! Its been quite an all emotions weekend really! Doors closing and opening and all that. Lovely, lovely news though! Happy times.

Today feels worse than yesterday.

All I want to do is going wandering in the pouring rain.

Pottermore

I watched JK Rowling's exclusive announcement earlier... And I still don't really get what Pottermore is. It kind of strikes me as its games, and the abilities to kinda rewrite the Potter books? And that JK is going to tell us stuff about the characters that we don't know? I'm not sure if I'm excited or not. I'm interested about the stuff we don't know about characters and stuff, but I'm not sure about the rest.

COOOOOKIES

Today I made some chocolate chip cookies. I haven't made cookies for a good ten years or something, but I think they've turned out looking and tasting pretty good! The true test is how long they last.

My phone is being incredibly selective about the texts it wants to receive, and when. Usually hours later, after its chewed them over a bit.

I now have a recipe book, just spent 2 hours writing in the recipes I always use for things.

Can't really believe that in 3 weeks time the final Harry is out... Its gone so fast since November.

DMU Degree Design Show 2011

Just got back from browsing the DMU Design Degree show, or at least the parts I was interested in. Some gorgeous work! Quite scared that in 2 years time that will hopefully be me, so cannot imagine how I'll feel this time next year. But came back with a stack of business & post cards, so its all good!

Was quite interesting to see people from the industries wondering around as well, hearing what they said about people's work.

Changeling

Just finished watching this, at 3am. Was about to go to bed, but discovered it was on. Seeing as a couple of years a go it was one of the top films, and also its a true story, couldn't really say no. I'm glad I didn't decide to go to bed. I actually really enjoyed it, even though it wasn't the easiest story to watch, wanted to look away from the screen at a couple of points. Good film though, as I don't usually like Angelina Jolie. It was nothing like what I got from the trailer at all.

Is it weird that I want to get Zumba for the Wii? It looks like it will completely knacker me out, but looks so much fun!

Sat watching the Changling... Not sure what I think about it at the moment.
