Imogen Heath

Thursday 28 June 2012

Feeling like I'm having a very productive day today! Moved money around all ready for summer rent to be taken out. Bought some ink for my printer so I can be productive with colour ways and research over the summer. Booked my train tickets to go and see Liz's degree show in London in 2 weeks time! Majorly excited! Also done a little bit more sketch booking, which I'm going to do so more of later on. Oh and I made some flower-shaped ginger biscuits. Feeling cheerful!

Think I've actually found a project idea I'm loving working on! And will fit really nicely into the first project brief when I get back. I'm so happy!
Also, I've just bought a knitting machine on Ebay. Everything is going to be covered in knit. Just need yarns to work with now! Think I'm just gonna get simple white to do loads of samples with first. While I get my colour scheme figured out. But I think I know where thats going as well! Feeling calm about next year as well. Though, have just thought about my extended essay... Should probably start going some research for that. Feeling very glad its only 4000 words instead of everyone else's 10,000! Wouldn't of been able to cope with that. Next year, bring it on!

Kinda loving my new phone case. Pretty pattern!

Cheeky Raspberry Daiquiri before tea...

Up the Loughborough Carillon...

Went to Loughborough for a day trip today! It was really good fun, hanging out with Bakes and Pulham. We went up the Carillon in the park, which was really cool. Beautiful, chilled day. Love train travel as well!

"One of the most amazing things that can happen is finding someone who sees everything you are and won't let you be anything less. They see the potential of you. They see endless possibilities. And through their eyes, you start to see yourself the same way. As someone who matters. As someone who can make a difference in this world."
Susan Colasanti, So Much Closer

Spent the entire afternoon and evening watching Wimbledon, and now I'm watching the highlights of the the matches I've already watched. Love Wimbledon!

Sunday 24 June 2012

Today I got a new phone. Dad had his old blackberry from work knocking around, so said I could have it, as pieces were actually falling off my Nokia 6300. So I've been enjoying my blackberry. It makes nicer noises and doesn't give me a heart attack whenever it goes off!
But today was the first time I watched an England match in Euro 2012, and they lost to penalties against Italy. As it goes England, as it goes.

Tea Loaf

Decided to bake some tea loaf today. This is my favourite kind of fruit cake loaf, as you can probably guess, because the fruit is soaked in tea! I'd never made it before, it has always been Mum who'd made it, so thought I'd give it a try! The recipe I use is fatless, and all measured in mugs, which was a tad confusing. I only put currents and cherries in, as that's all we had in the cupboard. And I've added a sprinkling of chopped walnuts on the top, as there was some left in the cupboard. Very pleased with how its worked out, even if it is a bit tubby over the edges!

Saturday 23 June 2012

Back at home for a while. Feels good to be here, but at the same time I'm already feeling like I miss going for my wanders and favourite places.
I'm a little weirded out. In my last four dream, each one has involved a different person and basically demonstrated exactly how I see them, and I guess exactly how I feel about seeing them like that. Quite freaked out its happened all in a row! Not sure what that means at all, they're really good dreams as well.

Celeste And Jesse Forever Trailer (2012)

Having too many dreams at the moment, where I wake up and feel sad when I realise what happened wasn't real. Thats not a good thing to feel first thing in the morning. Best start dream chasing more, make things happen!

Organising Makes Me Too Happy...

So at about Midnight I decided to organise my wardrobe and go through, maybe chucking some stuff. This has resulted in me deciding to get rid of: 2 pairs of trousers, 2 skirts, some shorts, a top and a pair of shoes. Which for me is pretty good going!
Then I got to lovingly organise all my clothes back into my wardrobe. And now it looks beautifully neat and tidy. Yeah, I know. I get too happy from organising.

Feeling LOUD.

It makes me happy, knowing they worked like this. Together, on their projects.
